Yes, even dry, dessert Nevada has some beauty. I stopped at the stop sign and took this through my windshield. It was breathtaking! It was a full double rainbow and so bright. This picture doesn't even do it justice.
WHITE COAT CEREMONY!!!!!
The dental school had the official swearing in. They are robed on the official Doctor coat. They recite an oath, pledging to put the patient's care before their own needs and to have integrity and honor in the profession. It was actually really cool. I am so proud of John. He works so hard! We are excited for this phase in our lives.

This is John's best friend in the whole world! Jesse Falk They see eachother more than us wives do!
A VISIT FROM THE FERRINS!
John's mom and dad came to visit for President's Day Weekend. They were the official babysitters for all of my birthday celebrating. We had so much fun and love being with them. They are so fun and my boys love them. Easton especially loves papa and his hat. He is currently obsessed with hats. He wears this one all day every day!

VISITING AZ!
Ok, so I decided that instead of emailing I would just post my next visit. I am going to be in AZ from April 7th to April 19th. I will obviously be in Safford most of the time but maybe a day at the beginning or end we could do our annual Leah house get together. I would love to see any and all who will make the trip. I just miss you all so much! Let me know which date works for you! Love you all!

BIRTHDAY POST!
At the request of a friend I am doing a birthday post. I am now 27! Yahoo and whoopdeedoo!! I feel the same of course. I have been slacking in the blog department again lately. I just don't have time these days! And I would rather be watching American Idol! I'm a wierdy about that show. It is the only thing I watch all year and I love it!
I had a wonderful birthday! I got to talk to or recieve a letter or visit from all my favorite people and I felt loved! What else can you ask for. I went to Outback Steak House for dinner and spent an absurd amount of money on food and loved every bite of it! I am a sucker for steak! John and I went to a Valentines Party with some friends in the ward and had a blast! I love playing games! So, there you go. Life goes on and I hope I will be wiser this year than last! Love you all!

ISAAC CLINT FERRIN
This is what Isaac replies every time someone asks him his name........so stinkin' cute!

Isaac bore his testimony today all by himself. He didn't want me to tell him what to say. So this is what he said...." Grateful for our family and that we can obey our mommies and daddies and go to Jesus and so mommy and daddy can go to Jesus and grateful for church and for the Book of Mormon and so we can obey.(I wonder what he hears all the time.) In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Then after church he was going to the bathroom and he said " Mom I want to be like Jesus, I don't want to push and hit, but it is sooo HARD to obey. But I really do want to be like Jesus. My reply was, " I know Isaac it is hard; it's hard for mommy too. Let's both try."

Then tonight during his "special prayer" he said this....." Heavenly Father, grateful for our stuff and so we can be safe in our cars and so we can not be scared of witches so they can be good. So we can do right and be like the Savior. Grateful for our rabbits and pets and candy and lunches and food and so we can give stuff to people who don't have any. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen"

I am just so amazed at this 3 year old. He will be for in April, so I guess he is four. But I am so proud of him for recognizing the things we so desperately want to teach him. I just pray that he will continue to feel this way all his life and there after.

CHRISTMAS PICTURES!!!!
You never thought they would come did you! Our Christmas in AZ was amazing! There's no better place then the Herrington Farm!

Picking Pecans!

Easton's favorite place to be. Easton absolutely loves my dad. He wanted to be with him the whole time and was always so excited to see him. Even now that we are home, if he sees his picture he goes crazy! It might have something to do with the fact that Easton is named after my dad- Easton Mark

Cara's little boy Nathan! So cute!

Cara's little girl Charlotte with the boys!

I promise Easton is hugging him, not attacking!

Precious moment of Grandpa swinging with Isaac!

Playing with playdough.

The Hunters! My Uncle Doug came for a few days with all his boys and they hunted doves and rabbits and whatever else they could find out inthe dessert. This is how I grew up and I love it! Don't they look so tough?!?!
Family really is everything! I am sure you all feel the way about going home. It is just the most peaceful, secure feeling! I am so grateful for them all!!!!

SUCCESS!!!!!

Isaac's surgery was a success! It was a very good experience. Isaac and I felt such peace. We could feel all of your prayers and the blessing John gave Isaac helped alot. I think I prepared Isaac so well he was excited for it! He couldn't wait to get in his special hospital bed wearing his special hospital gown and socks. He was so brave and when they rolled him away from us into the surgery room he said "Bye, see you later!" He amazes me that kid. The doctor said all went well and he shouldn't have any more problems. The waking up was rough. He was having some pain and throwing up a bit, but when they gave him more medicine and he felt good he didn't want to leave. When we got home he said " I want to go back to the doctor, that was fun!" And he gets to lay on our couch all day tomorrow watching movies and eating some of his favorite treats. How can you go wrong? So, there you go! I am glad it is over! One down one more to go!
CAN I JUST SAY HOW MUCH I LOVE MY NEIGHBORS!
I know the Lord puts people in our path. I love these girls. They came over and we made some easy fudge and it ended up being a powdered sugar fight. I felt like I was at home with my sisters! Love you Katie and Megan!!!!!!

HEALTH UPDATE
Just to clarify the boys health issues. Several months ago Easton started to have digestive problems, ie: diarrheah. He had it off and on in severity for 8 weeks. I finally took him to a specialist and we did a bunch of blood and stool tests and we think he has the disease that alot of the Ferrin family has called Celiac Sprue. It is a deficiancy in the digestion of wheat protiens and anything derived from it like gluten. Which is all types of flour and breads that come from wheat. So, we have completely changed his diet and he is better but we still have to take him into get a biopsy of his small intestine in Feb. to make sure that is what it is. He will be put to sleep, but it will be an out-patient proceedure.
I discovered a strange bulge or tumor, cyst looking thing on Isaac's genitals 2 months ago and we have learned that he has the beginnings of a hernia. This is when there is an opening in the lining of the intestines and tissue and fluid leak out down to the genitals. Isaac's is only fuid now, so next Thursday we take him in for surgery. He will be put to sleep also and they will drain the fluid and sew up the whole. It is also out-patient.
We feel so blessed that neither of these are too major. I am a little nervouse about the putting too sleep because I have been there and it feels wierd to come and out and it will be wierd to see my children like that. Also, it is always a risk to be put to sleep. But we have faith and feel calm about it all. I will probably have to go to the surgeries alone because Dental School is insane and there is no missing of classes. Not for anything. If you think about it we would love prayers and can always use them. I will let you know how it all turns out.

MERRY LATE CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!

I can't believe I am just now doing this. I couldn't down load any pics at my mom's in AZ and who wants a christmas post without pictures! So, this picture just about describes my two little oppisite boys to a T. Isaac doesn't have a shy bone in his entire body! ( Wonder where he gets that?!?) He volunteered to say the opening prayer his very first day in Primary in front of the entire primary! That is Isaac- so exuberant and full of life and enthusiasm. I always heard my mom use those exact words to describe me. Well here we go full circle. Although I am not sure you could still say the same about me. It's pretty crazy what life and hard times and birthing and raising children will do to an exuberant soul. But it is refining and good and maybe life has calmed me down a bit. So, I am rambling............
2oo7 for the Ferrins was quite a year for change and learning and relying. From moving into a new house, joining a new ward, accepting new callings, making new wonderful friends, starting dental school, finally being freed from depression, to health problems and surgery's for the boys, new callings and lots of traveling through the western states........ This has been a good year for growth and humility. I have learned alot about my self through reading books on spirited children (to help me with Isaac). I think I learned more about myself and changed alot of my attitude and became a little bit more patient of a mother. It also helps when your child is almost four. Growing up is a good thing. John is still learning to live with a very sassy, spirited woman-Heaven help him with that! He has also had to really stretch himself in his learning and studying and prioritizing and balancing. We are figuring it out though. And it is all because the mercy of the Lord. He is everything. His work is everything. We are indebted to him always and for every good thing. We love you all and hope this next year is a wonderful year with the Savior at the head. Happy New Year!!!!!!!
I LOOKED OUT THE WINDOW AND WHAT DID I SEE................

TWO LITTLE MUDDY BOYS LOOKING AT ME!

This was actually a while ago, but I just hadn't posted it.

John busted out with the old army uniform and Isaac the GQ model posed for the camera. (Not really he just didn't want to smile!)

THANKSGIVING WITH THE FERRINS!!!!!!!

Hanging out with the cousins and yes Isaac has a fetish with playing with hair just like his Uncle Clint did!

This was Isaac's first leaf jumping experience and he loved it! Who wouldn't!
It was so breathtakingly beautiful in Utah! The colors were magnificent! We had so much fun with the Ferrins. Papa Ferrin took the boys bowling and to an air museum, to see trains and to fly kites! They had fun despite the cold. I am undescribeably grateful for family and this time of year!

TIME OUT IS WORKING?
I walk passed Isaac who is in time out for being unkind to his friend Justin who was over. He had his face in the corner, his head in his hands and these were his words..." Heavenly Father, grateful I won't yell at my mom...grateful I'll be Justin's friend...grateful I won't push and hit. Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
I just about died! Is that sweet or what? Now if it would just sink in and stick!
