I know the Lord puts people in our path. I love these girls. They came over and we made some easy fudge and it ended up being a powdered sugar fight. I felt like I was at home with my sisters! Love you Katie and Megan!!!!!!

HEALTH UPDATE
Just to clarify the boys health issues. Several months ago Easton started to have digestive problems, ie: diarrheah. He had it off and on in severity for 8 weeks. I finally took him to a specialist and we did a bunch of blood and stool tests and we think he has the disease that alot of the Ferrin family has called Celiac Sprue. It is a deficiancy in the digestion of wheat protiens and anything derived from it like gluten. Which is all types of flour and breads that come from wheat. So, we have completely changed his diet and he is better but we still have to take him into get a biopsy of his small intestine in Feb. to make sure that is what it is. He will be put to sleep, but it will be an out-patient proceedure.
I discovered a strange bulge or tumor, cyst looking thing on Isaac's genitals 2 months ago and we have learned that he has the beginnings of a hernia. This is when there is an opening in the lining of the intestines and tissue and fluid leak out down to the genitals. Isaac's is only fuid now, so next Thursday we take him in for surgery. He will be put to sleep also and they will drain the fluid and sew up the whole. It is also out-patient.
We feel so blessed that neither of these are too major. I am a little nervouse about the putting too sleep because I have been there and it feels wierd to come and out and it will be wierd to see my children like that. Also, it is always a risk to be put to sleep. But we have faith and feel calm about it all. I will probably have to go to the surgeries alone because Dental School is insane and there is no missing of classes. Not for anything. If you think about it we would love prayers and can always use them. I will let you know how it all turns out.

MERRY LATE CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!

I can't believe I am just now doing this. I couldn't down load any pics at my mom's in AZ and who wants a christmas post without pictures! So, this picture just about describes my two little oppisite boys to a T. Isaac doesn't have a shy bone in his entire body! ( Wonder where he gets that?!?) He volunteered to say the opening prayer his very first day in Primary in front of the entire primary! That is Isaac- so exuberant and full of life and enthusiasm. I always heard my mom use those exact words to describe me. Well here we go full circle. Although I am not sure you could still say the same about me. It's pretty crazy what life and hard times and birthing and raising children will do to an exuberant soul. But it is refining and good and maybe life has calmed me down a bit. So, I am rambling............
2oo7 for the Ferrins was quite a year for change and learning and relying. From moving into a new house, joining a new ward, accepting new callings, making new wonderful friends, starting dental school, finally being freed from depression, to health problems and surgery's for the boys, new callings and lots of traveling through the western states........ This has been a good year for growth and humility. I have learned alot about my self through reading books on spirited children (to help me with Isaac). I think I learned more about myself and changed alot of my attitude and became a little bit more patient of a mother. It also helps when your child is almost four. Growing up is a good thing. John is still learning to live with a very sassy, spirited woman-Heaven help him with that! He has also had to really stretch himself in his learning and studying and prioritizing and balancing. We are figuring it out though. And it is all because the mercy of the Lord. He is everything. His work is everything. We are indebted to him always and for every good thing. We love you all and hope this next year is a wonderful year with the Savior at the head. Happy New Year!!!!!!!

THANKSGIVING WITH THE FERRINS!!!!!!!

Hanging out with the cousins and yes Isaac has a fetish with playing with hair just like his Uncle Clint did!

This was Isaac's first leaf jumping experience and he loved it! Who wouldn't!
It was so breathtakingly beautiful in Utah! The colors were magnificent! We had so much fun with the Ferrins. Papa Ferrin took the boys bowling and to an air museum, to see trains and to fly kites! They had fun despite the cold. I am undescribeably grateful for family and this time of year!

TIME OUT IS WORKING?
I walk passed Isaac who is in time out for being unkind to his friend Justin who was over. He had his face in the corner, his head in his hands and these were his words..." Heavenly Father, grateful I won't yell at my mom...grateful I'll be Justin's friend...grateful I won't push and hit. Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
I just about died! Is that sweet or what? Now if it would just sink in and stick!

HALLOWEEN IS HERE AGAIN!
I have to say each year it get's more fun as Isaac get's older and understands more. We stayed up late together Tuedsay night just he and I carving our pumpkins. We sang "Boo, boo, boo, boo, I'm a witch to scare you. I fly around on Halloween night, boo, boo, boo! Isaac saying the whole time with a smile in his voice, "Mom I am so excited to see this. I can't wait to light the candle!" I love Halloween!!!!!

PETER PAN!

THE LOST BOY!

Isaac's cousin Ethan was Captain Hook so we had to get some pics!

Easton was totally cheesin' it on the way to trunk or treat so I snapped it from my seat!

You can't really see them but Isaac helped me carve these. The one on the left is 3 ghosts and the one on the right is a cat under the moon.

REFLECTION.
I have been thinking alot lately.......dangerous I know. But, I feel so blessed and happy it is overwhelming. My life has done a 180 in the last year. Good health really is everything. I am so grateful for my mental health. When I was going through depression, I felt there was never going to be anything else. I forgot how it was to be Lisa and feel good and happy. And because I went through that...I am more grateful than ever for everyday with my sweet boys and my kind husband. I recognize that at any moment it could change. I just hope that I have been sufficiently humbled and am sufficiently grateful for what I have now. I will never again judge any one for any kind of depression or mental health problems. It is so real and I hope that any one could come to me if they had a problem. Because I understand how it feels.
Also, I think I need to live in CA. I hate summer! I think I was partly depressed because it is so bloody hot!!!! I hate being trapped in the house. I want to be outside and so do my boys! I love fall! I love this weather!!!! Heavenly!!!!!!!
I also have been thinking alot about motherhood.......the in's and out's....the daliy routine of it all. And there is something refining and heavenly about giving yourself 24/7 to others. I have recently read the book " These is my words" and recomend it. It made me see my role as a women and wife and mother more clearly. It is hard and it is long, but the rewards are not of this world and if we see it as a job that is truly fulfilling everyday when the house is quiet and our kids are asleep and we think back on the busy, fun day......I think it helps me to truly enjoy and marvel what it is to be a mother in zion (as my roomate used to say). Let us stand firm and immoveable in our resolve to serve, love nurture, give and provide reliefe. Love to all.

BUSY LIFE!!!!
So, just when I think my life can't be any busier it is. I have been doing hair every spare second. As soon as the kids are down for naps and then even at bed time I am doing someone's hair. Don't get me wrong I am grateful for the business, but I am exhausted, because I dont' get that down time at night and during naps to blog(for example) or read or watch something or to just think or make a phone call. So , I am trying to catch up with some pictures. Most of them are from before our trip to AZ in August. Neighbor kids face painting Isaac and first time tie for Easton. I love these amazing boys! Easton now says "hieee" and "woof woof " and "Isy" for Isaac and "dog" and "baba" for sippy cup. He dances around and show's off. And my favorite time of the whole day is when he first wakes up because he will lay on my chest for atleast 30 min and snuggle and let me rub his back! I LIVE for these moments! Love to all!

Twilight Book Review!
I forgot to mention the other reason my blog has been suffering. I have been completely consumed by the Twilight books. I finished all threee 600 page books in one week. There were several 4am nights. So stupid......I know. But I was Bella for a week and what an incredible adventure. John kept asking me if I wished he were a vampire!
So to say the least I absolutely LOVED the books and can't wait for a sequal. I vote Bella becomes a vampire!

BACK IN BUSINESS.......... for a second!
I know you all have stopped checking my blog becasue it sits the same always. I have to say that being a single mom is as hard as you would think. But I also feel very strengthened and I am feeling an amazing bond with my boys that I have never felt before. Probably because we have to stick together. For the first time in my mothering part of marriage, I feel so bad for John and how much he has to study and how bogged down and overwhelmed he is, that I am not feeling sorry for myself. Even though it gets very tiring, atleast I can go to the park and play outside and chat with friends and talk on the phone and read boods and cut and clolor and play pirates and go for walks and go shopping...... Sounds tough! I have the easy part currently atleast it would seem. I also feel closer to John because this is such a hard time. It's harder in a physical way......just trying to keep going and do it all over and over.
But I feel so blessed! John gave me a blessing before school started and I feel it everyday. I feel myself being sustained far beyond my own capacity and I feel the Lord right with me when I think I can't do it anymore. I also have the most wonderful boys. Isaac is growing up so much and is such a big helper. He is more obediant and is so good to Easton. And Easton just adores Isaac. I am also relying on friends around me who are husbandless alot as well. They truly are a strength beyond description. I just feel so blessed and can feel the Lord's love always lately. And I am so grateful for this up time in my life when I was expecting it to be a low time.
I have a bunch of pre AZ trip pics to post but for some reason my computer will not upload my picures. As soon as it does I will post some more.
Anyway, I frequently find Easton doing this to Isaac. He loves to snuggle him.

BUSY LIFE!
I have alot more pictures and details from the cruise but I have been so busy. You all know how it goes. I think my blogging days have slowed now that John has started Dental school. Which he loves and is so happy to be there. I am excited for him and proud of him. I had a suprise graduation party for him before we left for AZ and my camera batteries died so I didn't get pictures, but it was really fun!
Anyway, there will be some updates eventually. Life is good!
