I Saw Something....

It was small.
It was sweet.
It is wonderful.

I saw it while sitting in church with my John. We were in Sunday School Class and I happenend to take a prolonged look at his face.
And there in the corner of his eye was a wrinkle. The first. But not the last.

I supposse it is the first toe on the foot of the crow.
It made me love him more. I was looking into the future and excited for all the time I get to spend with him in order to form the full foot of the crow.

The more we laugh and are joyful the quicker that foot will be filled.

I am excited and lucky to grow old with my John.

Here is what we have to look forward to.
And it is a beautiful thing.

My mom's parents.

JUST

Today I am just feeling grateful for my knowledge of the things I know are true.

I just want to remember the things I learn on Sundays and keep them fresh and strong in my mind the whole week.

I just want to serve and love with all my heart. In every way I am needed and expected to with out complaint.

Is that too much to ask?

Crunchy Feet

Isaac is very concerned about
my crusty heels. He always has been.
I HATE wearing shoes. I think I have claustrophobia of
the foot. To wear socks is to ask a lot of me.
So, yesterday we were sitting down
eating dinner and Isaac said,

"Mom, I am so glad I am not a mom.
Because you have to make dinner all the time
and you have crunchy feet."

May you never have to
make dinner every night of your
life and may you never have crunchy feet!

Skeletons

My amazingly talented, crafty, friend Alli put these adorable sock puppet skeletons together and let the boys and I come over and hand sew them together.

Aren't they to die for? (HaHaHaHa. That's funny!)

Isaac's has the jeweled eyes and Easton's the buttons.

They carry them around. Sleep with them and throw them and swing them around!
They LOVE these guys!

We even had a special little faith building experience with our skeletons......
The boys took them to the gym to show the ladies there and when we left I saw that Easton had his and then all of a sudden it wasn't in the car. I ended up going back to the gym twice to find it. But no luck.
So, we were sitting in the parking lot and I suggested we say a prayer and Easton agreed. And as soon as I said amen I looked up and saw it across the parking lot up against a curb. The wind was blowing so hard that Easton must have dropped it and it blew it across the parking lot.
We then said a prayer of thanks for finding it.
I love these moments.
Halloween!!!!!!!!!!

John was the tooth fairy this year. You can't see his fairy wings very well. And he's holding a gigantic toothbrush for his wand! It was hysterical!

Batman!!!!

VAMPIRE!!!!
John made Isaac's teeth at the dental school!

The older my boys get the more fun holidays are! They had so much fun this year.
We went to the ward Trunk or Treat and they had a little fishing game set up and we saw all our friends. It was fun!

Happy Halloween!

Blue Diamond

Blue Diamond is the most lovely little town (if you can call it that) just outside of Las Vegas. It has a little post office, fire station, park and school...... oh, and the Sheriff's Department.

It is truly dreamy. Lots of green trees and so small town....
Leah you woul love it for pictures.

So, my dear friend lent me (with her supervision of course) her amazing camera and we went and took pictures. I have not taken Isaac's 5 year old pictures or Easton's 3 year old pictures.

Now I need help knowing which ones to print and hang in my house.

PLEASE, share your favorites with me!

Blog Book

Help I am not having success with the creating of my blog book with the Blurb.
I have tried to down load all my blog from oldest to newest, so it would just already be in chronological order from when Easton was born. (Which is when I started.)

But alas, it did not do that and it is a pain. I want to give up, but I want to have one.
Any professional blurbers. Is that a word?

Meet Our New Friends

These new friends could be considered new members of our family. But those of you who know how I feel about inside pets, know how difficult this is for me.

Meet Babbling Babbs or just Babbs.
She is a talker.

Easton has claim on her.

This is Grace. She is very quiet.

Isaac has claim on her.

This is Babb's favorite place to be.
THey will fly across the house to find me and wait for me to pick them up and then they perch on my head or shoulders. ( I feel like the bird lady).

The girls(we call them) were raised from eggs by children and hand fed. These lovlies are very social!

These new friends could NOT be considered members of the family. They dwell in the back yard in a jar of dirt.
Although they are just as treasured as the above mentioned friends.

Oh the sweet joys of childhood.

Come and meet the girls.... and the worms too if you'de like!

Confession

I have a confession. When I read a book it takes over my life. Everytime.
It's really quite rediculous. I can't do other things during my down time at all.
All I do is read. So, everything else is put on the back burner (I love this saying btw).

But oh, I am enjoying Anne. What a beautiful story and so beautifully writtin.
Highly recommend it!

One of those surreal moments.

(Taken right before Easton was born.)

I was snuggling with Isaac in his bed (per his request) right before he fell asleep. This is how the conversation went...

Isaac: (Rubbing my face tenderly) "Mom, I love you so, so, so, so much!"

Me: "I love you too so, so, so, so much.

Isaac: "It's like you have 2 hearts. Your heart, and my ghost heart."

Me: " What do you mean?"

Isaac: " It's like I gave you my heart and then you kept the ghost heart and gave it back to me and now you have 2, mine and yours."

Wow.
