Cave Run Lake (Our first camping trip in the south)

Another Perio Resident and his family invited us to go camping last minute.
We packed in an hour and drove about 1 1/2 hours to a little piece of Heaven!

The lake had risen 14 ft and some of the campsites were under water.
The sunset was gorgeous on the lake.
Here is Tru and I enjoying it!

That night the adults stayed up till 2:30 a.m.!
Ridiculous! But so much fun!

The next morning we swam in this warm lake.
It was so wierd that it wasn't cold! It wasn't cold at night
either. It stayed about 60. So we slept nice and cozy in our tent.

The boys loved it of course! :)

This is what our drive home looked like!

Then they took a bath of course!

Cave Run Lake is the BEST! We stayed at the group campsite for a week every summer for 6 or 7 years. Oh man, those were good times.

Looks like so much fun! Right up your guys's alley...I'm so glad you have been able to explore the cool places in your new area already. :)

Beautiful! I'm starting to wonder more and more why people choose to live in the West. A warm lake, imagine that?
