THANKS GIVING BY-PASS!

In my excitement for Christmas and the fun of Halloween it occurred to me that Thanksgiving was by-passed. We stayed home this year....... a very Hard decision. It turned out to be wonderful. We spent the days with John's sister Amy and her husband. Out dinner was HEAVENLY, the time together was rejuvenating, and the early morning shopping was SUPERB! I have been feeling so grateful these days......probably because my life is at one of the most peaceful, simple times I believe it will ever be.
Here's a FEW of the MANY things I am thankful for right now:

I am thankful that my children have not been sick in a LONG time.

I am thankful that John and I have not been sick in a LONG time.

I am thankful that John comes home to study at night, so we at least get to see him for a FEW MINUTES each day.

I am thankful that finals are underway.......which means they will be OVER soon and it's break time.

I am thankful that I get to go to the gym every morning and sweat it all out.

I am thankful that my children are not in school and a MILLION activities. We truly go where we want, when we want. We read books and jump on the trampoline and play games and go on fun outings with friends all day!!!!

I am thankful that the boys both sleep through the night and they both can communicate to me their needs.

I am thankful that they love each other to DEATH and play so well together.

I am thankful every time I pull my loaves of HOME MADE bread out of the oven that I am providing my family with such DELICIOUS nourishing sustenance.

I am thankful for my church callings.

I am thankful for AMAZING friends.

I am thankful that I am NOT pregnant and throwing up all day!

I am thankful that I have a RELIABLE car to drive.

I am thankful that John is in the ARMY and we are very financially STABLE!

I am thankful that I can talk to my HEAVENLY FATHER every day and that I feel Him and my Savior near.

I am thankful for this FREE country.

I am thankful for inspired church leaders and speakers.

I am thankful for my family far away who prays for me and loves me!

Why would or could I EVER complain? No complaining here.

Wha! You're pregnant??! ALright...let's hear the all the details (not those details)...how far along?

I also loved this post, Lis. It's so amazing when you find peace with your life. I too am SO grateful to have one more full year with both my boys at home (since Milo's b-day is in OCT). Your boys are so adorable. I am SO grateful I had two little rascals so close together, they are a blast.

I miss you. We might come to visit again in February. You up?
