Ode to Fall (sappy post)

Oh fall! How I love thee!
I thought I loved thee in Arizona....
Then I was sure I loved thee in Nevada...
But, I know that I love thee in Kentucky!

Thy smell is crisper and sweeter!
Thy colors are more vibrant!
Thy fruit more delicious and beautiful!
Thy orchards are magnificent!

Thou doest truly usher out the hot, drab summer
and bring in the cool, sweet winter!

(Give me 4 months and I know I will be hating the cold winter!) ;)

And don't forget Halloween!
I love decorating for Halloween!

I decided to display all our past Halloweens together!

And now.... the colors of the season!
Ahhhh...

Boyds Orchard

There are so many orchards here!
They go all out!
Corn mazes!
Pick your own pumpkin and apples!
Play grounds!
And apple cider and pumpkin donuts!
Yum!

Truman being festive!

We also got to go to the Cincinnati Zoo!
HalloZooeen!

The boys dressed up and they had trick or treating stations set up!
We have here Swamp Fire (don't ask... some alien) and Captain America!
And baby Truman just looked cute as usual!

I didn't take too many pics of the animals...
But here is proof we were at the Zoo!

Happy Falling!

Look Who's Crawling!

(Don't you love the diaper?)

These last two made me laugh for 20 minutes!
I was laughing so hard, that the boys were in the
basement chanting, "Mom's having a break
down! Mom's having a break down!"

What is that?

We are in love!

September Update
warning: long post

Life is moving right along!

Isaac is taking piano lessons and both the boys are in karate!
They have the cutest little oriental man named Master Tae!

Isaac had his first ever school project! He had to research the Green bottle Fly!
It's made of a potato and lollypops for eyes!

The other day we were on our way to school and Isaac in all seriousness sad this to Easton,

"Easton, I saw your class lined up in the hall and I have to tell you how proud I was of you! You were the straightest one and you were standing perfectly straight on the blue line!"
So cute!

Easton comes home from school exhausted every day and lays flat out on the hard wood floor!
The other day on our way to school we forgot to say our family prayer so Easton said it in the car.

" Please help the car drive safe to school and please help us not eat sweets before dinner... Amen."

Ok.... Random! So cute!

Homework, piano practice, reading, sight words, chores,.....

They do a lot!

Truman and I just hang out all day!
He is so content and happy, he is fun to take on errands.
He has 2 teeth and is will be crawling any day now!
He scoots all over the house and loves real food!

I decided some day I would want to remember
these chubby little hand and feet!

Some days it gets lonely and I can tell he is bored of me and our house and the same toys!
He lights up when the boys get home!

John loves school! It is completely self motivated and relaxed!

We love our ward and new friends!

And fall is just around the corner! My favorite time of year! We have a gorgeous maple tree hanging over our back porch that I was told will turn beautiful colors! I will post pictures!

I feel so grateful that we are always changing and growing and learning.
I never want to say again..." That's just the way I am."
I think it is a cop out and I always want to be able to change and better myself.
I am grateful for knowledge and learning!

I love my boys!
I miss my old friends and my family! They would make my life complete!

Love to all!

Let me introduce you......

...to Truman's fake smile!
He gives this smile out of pity or maybe duty!
We love it!!!

He is 8 months old!
He has 1 tooth!
He loves to eat baby food!

He is ticklish inside his hands!
He loves his brothers!

He is happy, sweet and our greatest joy!

Just grateful....

So grateful! These amazing boys are mine!
All mine!

They are sheer joy!

Easton is adjusting well to all-day kindergarten.
He comes home from school and lays flat on the hard wood floor.
He is very tired, but doing well!

I am just so grateful for these boys!
Life is just good!

First Day of School

This was a mixed emotion day for me. Easton is going full day kindergarten!

He is so little and sweet and pure to be gone all day!

I know he will do well, but 8 hrs. is a LONG day! Right?

Isaac is in 2nd grade and was ready to go!
So ready that when we got home last week from meeting his teacher and touring the school,
this was our conversation:

Isaac: "Mom, I feel good about my classroom."

Me: " Me too Isaac!"

Isaac: "Even though we aren't in the same school as all our friends, (we are the only ones in our ward zoned for our school) I know Jesus wants me to be there and it feels right.

Me: Just slightly taken aback, "Me too sweetie!"

This boy is so sensitive to the spirit and so aware!
Is he 7 or 40?

Love these boys! They are my life!

Truman and Kenlee

So, Truman has been chillin' with the ladies lately.
We decided that if they weren't cousins, this first one could be there engagement picture!
Isn't that so sweet! Look at both their expressions!

This last one cracks me up!
You can literally hear him saying, "huuuugh?"

My sister Callie and her family flew to my house for a few days before I drove her to Ohio
where her husband got a job in Sandusky.

We had a fun, busy time unpacking with 2 babies and 2 crazy boys!
They live in this little Lake town right by Lake Erie.
I know I sound ignorant, but I had no idea a huge Lake could look like the ocean.
We spent almost everyday at the beach. Waves, sand, castles..... everything! Heaven!

I forgot my camera of course. :(

But I feel so blessed to have Callie and Randon and Kenlee so close!
The Lord is so good to us and I am forever grateful!
