My Mohawk Boys!

Isaac took this one!

Thursday, February 01, 2007

Sorry now new posts. I have been doing a lot of other things. One being changing my eating habits back to the old, pre- pregnant me. I have some new favorite healthy meals and snacks.

BREAKFAST:
Steel Cut Oats: They are the best oats for you and they are more crunchy like cracked wheat, not so mushy like regular oatmeal. After I cook it I put fruit ( berries, grapes, apples which I cook in with the oatmeal, it gives it such a good sweet apple flavor), nuts(any kind), and to sweeten it I use my new favorite way to sweeten: hazelnut Creamer. It only has 5 grams of sugar in 1 Tablespoon and only 45 calories. And it adds the yummiest flavor. And then I add milk of course. Something else I have read a lot about lately is coconut oil (raw and natural). It is a really good fat that aids in metabolism. So I add 1T of that and it also adds a really good flavor. Isaac and I eat this almost every morning.

Lunch:
I saute mushrooms and onions with a tiny bit of olive oil and some salt and pepper and then I put them on my sandwich. What ever kind or I eat it as a side with a yummy salad. So Good!!!!

Dinner:
I again saute onions and mushrooms with lots of veggies and chicken and then eat it with brown rice or I crack a couple of eggs in with it and then it's more filling.

Dessert:
Sugar Free fat free vanilla pudding.... I eat it warm with berries or nuts or semi sweet chocolate chips in it! So good! I also eat the chocolate kind with a little whipped cream and the pistachio or cream cheese kind!

I feel so good. I have such a testimony of healthy eating and what we put in our bodies. I eat tons of fruits and veggies and only whole grains and I have no more headaches and never feel nauseous and night which I used to have both of! I don't just eat to eat. I think about why I am eating and eat only because I am hungry. I have lost 8 lbs and 2 inches! Healthy food=happy life!

Got Education?

I just went through and read my blog and I can't believe how many grammatical errors there are. You can tell I haven't taken any classes at any school for along time. And part of it could be that if I can find ten minutes to update my blog it is sure not going to be filled with getting everything spelled right!!!! :)

Just a cute pictuer of Easton. Can he get any cutter?
My friend Jourdan!!
We stopped at the Boynton's house on our way home from Utah. They have two boys too. Milo and Elliot! Love them! Our boys got along so good we wished we were neighbors.

We're home! Two weeks in the cold and we are glad to be back! We had a wonder ful time. Here are a few pics of the boys with there Ferrin cousins.
Easton's new favorite thing to do!
Grandma made all the grandsons matching jammies! FUN!
BRING ON 2007!
Here we go....... I was sitting thinking about this last year. My body has gone from not pregnant to pregnant to not pregnant again in one year. And is still not recovered from it. I had a life threatening experience bringing Easton here and have still not recoverd from that (hormonally). I am speaking out to who ever I can about Post Partum Deppression, because it is a real, frightening thing. That fasting, prayer, faith and power of thought can not control. I still don't feel myself and struggle daily to over come it without staying on an anti-depresant (which caused me to gain 20 lbs.) So, we are trying to recover from that and poor John just has to put up with it all. John has worked as a valet, a dental assistant and full time student this year. Isaac has grown leaps and bounds and always keeps us laughing. Now we are again waiting to see if we will get into dental school and establish some roots in Las vegas for a little while longer. And through it all the most important part is our relationship with our Maker and his son and if we stay true and faithful to them all will be right and well in the end.

Merry Christmas to all!
We didn't get a Christmas card out this year. I thought about is a hundred times, so we wish you all the merriest Christmas full of the Savior's love and light. We are off to Utah with John's family tomorrow for 2 weeks and we are very excited. We get a winter wonderland for Christmas this year. It is already covered in snow. Isaac is excited to go snow sledding. The adults in our family are excited as well. Love you all and loved to see those of you at Thanksgiving. You are all such good people, trying so hard to follow the Lord. Thanks for you examples!
Easton's new Ducky bath that he loves. And Isaac loves it too! Although he barely fits. He also digs the Jumperoo!!!!

My sweet little angel...Easton at four months getting lovins' from his big brother.

The new UMBRELLA! Isaac got a new spider man umbrella. It is more kid friendly and he can open and shut it by himself, so I don't have to do it a thousand times a day. Ethan bought one too and then they had their first slumber party in matching jammy shirts. It was so fun! Isaac even fell asleep the next day holding his.

November 11th! The Nellis Airport Air Show!
John and Isaac had a blast. John has been going to these all his life and was so excited to take Isaac. I think he enjoyed it more than Isaac, but Isaac liked his first experience.

Our Neighbor Alexa!
This is our neighbor Alexa! Isaac loves her and I think maybe has a little crush on her. He is very protective of her when her big brother picks on her and he calls her "My Alexa". They wrestle alot and play rough, hence the rug burns. And she has a bunny, "Mocha" who Isaac loves all most as much as Alexa! We adore her and are so glad shed is our neighbor!

LOST AND FOUND!
So Sunday morning John wakes up to go to his early morning meeting and his car is gone. Yep! Stolen! We couldn't believe it! So we called the police and reported it stolen. Then we just waited.... the next morning we got a call from the police saying they had found our car. ( This is John's car by the way, 95 Honda Civic, the #1 stolen car in the nation.) It was only 3 miles away from our house and covered in dust inside and out. It had a Sonic bag and food in it. Apparently they went joy riding in the dessert. So, the car runs great and everything is fine and we got a free gift out of the whole situation...... They left the brand new DVD "CARS" in our glove box! Thank you for borrowing our car!

One of Isaac's favorite new past times is to talk on the phone as some of you may know. Everytime I am on the phone he has to talk. In these pictures he is talking to my single friend Jennie who was on her way over to babysit. Isaac was so excited! He loves her. His favorite thing to say on the phone is "um.....I doknow" Then, "Bye, see you soon!"

THE NAME GAME!

I've been tagged by my cousin Jill to tell how we got our boys names. Sorry it has taken me so long to respond. I haven't been on the computer in a while. Anyway, it was a night mare to find both of our boys names. You could not put two people with complete oppisite tastes in names and other wise together. WE could not agree on a single name. I had thought of Isaac once and John did not completely shoot it down. So, when I was pregnant with Isaac I had to have major surgery and have a cyst removed from my ovary. We were in the hospital and I was a little afraid to say the least. My mom was trying to distract me so we were talking about names. I mentioned Isaac and she looked it up in the bible dictionary. His name means "he laugheth!" and I loved that. So that sealed the deal.
With Easton, the same thing happened I named 10 names and John shot them all down. Then I was reading in the name book and I read Easton...it means "outdoorsy". Ithought that was so cute and I had never heard it. After that I couldn't get it out of my head. John hated it and so for the rest of my pregnancy up until we were in the hospital to have him we didn't know what to name him. Then John conceded and said he knew it was suppossed to be his name. So, that is how it happened. Gotta love it!
